Step 1
Understanding Artwork
Artwork here refers to illustration/ photograph/ painting or an idea of a design. I will advise you on how to convert your artwork into a digital file so that its ready to be printed and submitted with the right resolution and in the right format. I will help you with creating a design by tweaking your idea or an artwork to ensure colours, size and composition is as per your requirements before the file could be submitted for printing.
To arrive at the final product, I develop, validate and refine the designs working with you from initial concept to final product designs. I work hand-in-hand with my team to make sure your product design meets your expectations before finalising. This close collaboration is key to getting it right.
The final result is a digital file that is ready to be printed for the product it is created for.
Step 2
Understanding Fabrics
Understanding how different fabrics behave using different printing techniques is the second stage in the art to print process.
Using a wealth of experience in fabric development, I will advise you on the fabric qualities in detail. Printing techniques and widths of the fabric will also be discussed at this stage.
The primary thing you need to look for is that the fabric you choose is right for the purpose of the product and the printing technique chosen is the most suitable for the fabric.
This stage will allow you to understand and choose fabrics that we will use for your product to create artwork swatches to help you make informed decisions.
Step 3
Getting Ready to Print
You’ve got your digital file to print, and you have finalised your printing fabric. It’s time to print your artwork.
For fabric printing, I have a dedicated team in India who will look after all the aspects of printing process from swatches to sample and production. The swatches are printed, and tweaked until we are happy with the colours and print composition.
A big part of this stage is also understanding finishing which includes the seam stitching options, labelling and packaging options.
Finishing of each product varies. I will show you options to choose from for a product in mind.
Labelling is also a important part of finishing a product. I can advise on label placement and its material to be used. I will also go through packaging options especially sustainable options that are made from plant and biodegradable materials like corn and potato starch.

Planning is the key in order to successfully turn your designs into works of art. Before getting started with this process, everything is discussed, reviewed in detail before it goes into digital format. You don’t need any design skills to come up with an idea, but you do need an idea with a good story to attract your audience.
Iterate Better
With a winning idea and your artwork digital file, i will help you to shortlist the fabrics and printing medium to test your artwork on various fabrics and review how it looks on the product you are thinking of developing.
